Process - Enhancing our cooperation

FB Fabio Balli Public Seen by 222

In the last weeks, there have been lots of discussions on different channels. Some affilates left the discussion.

In order to build a sense of belonging and intimacy, I believe that we need to set time to get to know each other better, learn about each other's project, and build a group (instead of an assembly of individuals).

My proposition is to address this with the goal of
- ensuring holoptism (the ability for any member to have knowledge of what the others are doing)
- enabling a group dialogue with minimal relevant information (reducing the noise)

Indeed, I think it would be VERY helpful to know a bit more about what is currently going on.

This is a must. And it should occur periodically.

@tiberiusbrastavice does a weekly or monthly newsletter/email to try keep everyone up to date on happenings at Sensorica. Its focused on the organization as a whole. Perhaps a similar service to record and share activities on a personal level would be helpful.

I would like to add video and audio recordings to that list.

What I would like to be able to see, but do not know yet exactly how to do it, is a simple list of all projects, with a very brief status, so one can see at once what activity is going on, what project is being currently worked on. And that list should be updated about once a week. Or may be it could be separated in 2 lists: one lists the projects that have seen some activity this week, and the other are the projects that have NOT seen any activity this week.

@fredericdurville - yes! We actually had the first list a long time ago, but dropped it when there was no activity most weeks. Would be easy to revive.

I added a github issue. I'll revive the old one by tomorrow. The more detailed ideas people can offer, the better the new ones will be.

I'll also make them embeddable in Sensorica's website.

@fredericdurville I wonder if we could get the NRP to show something like that. The advantage is that the data is (theoretically) already there so you don't have to rely on busy people to update status. The disadvantage is that it is a lot of detail and not much overview - would be hard to get a snapshot view of a project. The All Work page shows currently active processes by project and gives a way to update the status and planned dates of each - it was designed for when Sensorica was having weekly meetings to review status and plan the next week. So it is not really right for what you are proposing, but might be some food for further thought.

On the other hand, I like the email newsletter idea too, and it would include projects not being logged (like NRP for example). And it would just arrive, no requirement to get curious and go look, a big plus.

For a while, open app people were using loomio to do a monthly status, but we have gotten out of that habit.
