Conducting Nowhere in the midst of CoVid
The CoVid working group held a meeting on 27th January 2022 to discuss how we could conduct Nowhere during this Pandemic / Epidemic.
The Notes of this meeting can be found here: Meeting Notes
The Meeting lead several questions that the Working Group wanted to hear from the Leads to get more viewpoints in the polls.
It is obvious to say, Nowhere will always follow the laws by our rules, policies and procedures. This set of polls are an attempt to give the Directors and MetaLeads information to publish as part of the information that will be included in the Ticket sales. By the time of the event, we will use the information here and current laws to construct the relevant rules for the event.
No one can predict what will happen in the few months between now and July.
Currently track to Spain has a good deal of requirements (https://www.surinenglish.com/spain/spain-introduces-covid-20220127091710-nt.html), and the rules will change again on Feb 1st.
There are 4 polls with which we seek your feedback. 1) Vaccination Requirements 2) Testing Requirements 3) Funding of Tests and 4) Frequency of On-Demand tests
When thinking about these questions please think about:
Your rights, and the rights of your friends.
The right to expect a safe venue and what does it take to make it safe.
Think about the radical self reliance principle and how it affects your answers.
Think about the safety of our volunteers, and what is it fair to ask of them.

What types of tests should we require at what point Closed Thu 10 Feb 2022 4:02AM
Our best guess is that On-site PCRs will cost between 15-25€
Antigen aka Lateral Flow Test will cost about 3-4€

Majority of people will be vaccinated/recently had the 'rona due to the current wave of plague in Europe. Antigen tests are quicker, cheaper and can be self administered so we don't need to pay a medic to stick things up people's noses. Based on current rules anyone traveling from outside Spain will be required to test neg or be vaccinated also.

I think is very likely that by July we will still be required by law to ask for a negative PCR test to the people that are not able to present proof of vaccination or proof of recovery, so they will need to have that negative result anyway

I think we should encourage people who can get a PCR prior to travel to get one, so that people don't arrive to the gate sick. The Spanish laws for leisure travel may make this mandatory, but even if not, knowing that you have CoVid before you depart will lower the number of people who have the VERY bad experience of arriving and finding out they have CoVid.

Would like to flag again here: Wouldn't it make more sense for us to get some sort of outside assessment from medical professionals on how to best do this, instead of having a bunch of people who don't do this for a living decide?

As most of our participants come from abroad, and with the current guidelines for travel, some participants will have to provide a negative PCR test already. As for participants leaving site. There should be a tracking system/control to monitor who leaves site and get them tested accordingly

I think following similar regulations with airplanes in terms of a PCR pre arrival is good enough. I believe the community will do a lot of self testing and we shouldn’t centralize testing. An antigen at re-entry would serve as an extra check for those coming and going in the surrounding community of Sarinena.

PCRs are cost prohibitive and take too long to process.
