I had a good chat with Gareth Nash and Jo White at the do in Manc. Both struck me as totally up for some innovation. In fact I was going to ask if there is an existing network that includes the bulk of people involved in coop devt, or is it split up into the 'pros' and the barefoot brigade?

There is the CDB Forum which is for any Co-operatives UK member
involved in co-operative development.

Then there is the associated Loomio group that is open to anyone
involved in co-operative development. Would you like to be invited
to this group?

Both groups are still mostly the "pros" as you call them,
although as admin, hope to grow the Loomio group to be much wider
than the usual suspects.

Then there is the Development Co-op - http://development.coop/ -
a formal co-op society of CDB's formed a couple of years ago
looking to take on big contracts. It has yet to do so and is
currently going through a period of reflection around its purpose.
There are some meetings coming up, where I'll raise possible
involvement in this fund work. I'd imagine Jo and Gareth will be
there.

Then there is the Barefoot work, which is welcomed by most CDB's
although some are understandably wary.
