Conscious Business Canvas: Our Operating Model
Please share your ideas and thoughts: Describe how we operate - the key activities your business must do to thrive. What core organizational competencies can you leverage, and what can you outsource/partner with others to get done? (This may be exactly what Tracy recently posted on a Freelance Cooperative.)

Key activities:
1) Facilitating connections and collaboration - through events and online platforms;
2) Providing project planning support;
3) Funneling resources - funding, work hours

To add onto what Steve wrote:
Key activities:
1) Facilitate connections and collaboration across WNC through events and online platforms to define projects (i.e., 'charter' and key user stories) and sustain and grow our network's health
2) Provide planning and support cooperative management of network projects;
3) Mobilize resources (e.g., shared, timebanked, credit-funded, traditional funding, volunteer) to implement projects and track our success

I'd love to see some UniteWNC activity which asks and tests (and certifies?) that the projects UniteWNC supports meet certain guidelines related to "enhancing our quality of life".

A good exercise for the retreat and/or the meeting tomorrow night might be "how do we define quality of life?" I'll see if Cheri has the raw data from the stickies and see if we have more details on what we meant by quality of life from the sprint summit

Providing meaningful, rewarding work which enriches the lives of those within UniteWNC as well as those outside UniteWNC. I encourage more discussion of the advantages of collaboration and building a commons in the context of how it effects our relationship with our community and our relationship with each other. What if 50% of what we do is not measured in money? How would we ensure that these key activities would receive the attention needed to be successful? We need to become competent at balancing profit motives with community engagement. We need a way of exchanging "help" with the ease and efficiency we currently exchange dollars. We need a marketplace for compassion.

We can pull up the raw data from the website -- the supporting documents. It would be great if we could track our impact over time. I'll try to check it out before the meeting tonight.

I looked for the supporting documents on the website, but I couldn't find them there or in the Google drive folder. Perhaps I didn't look hard enough.

I found two documents -- I put them in a folder https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1JtuFFz0O_R8JbcjfXvfwARwMERrgoFNT

Tracy as Executive Director running a Freelance Cooperative (or some such). Tracy's description in a separate thread spells this out.
