Macrobiotic food cafe

J Joy Public Seen by 155

My thoughts so far on the food cafe are as follows. Feel free to debate/ elaborate/ participate
- We could have a 'local food challenge' where individuals or teams of people come with a dish that is as local as possible, and entirely from the U.K. Potentially there could be a small prize or a few prizes for most creative, most local, most nutritionally balanced, most close to being macrobiotic', though we would need to agree on whether prizes were a good idea and if so, what.
2. Advertise the night during the stall at Climate Week, as well as on flyers at the coop, on the board, on the Green Action newsletter and maybe with the permaculture network and the vegan society of the university.
3. Create an Eventbright so we know in advance roughly how many people are coming.
4. Have a talk from George followed by Q&A, and also use the dishes people have brought to trigger discussion about what makes a macrobiotic diet, the challenges of doing it, etc.
5. Have a donations pot so that if people want to give a small donation for food they've eaten, or if people want to take a small bit for food they've cooked, this would balance itself.
