What should we name the Wave for May Day?

The heart of Wave tech is it's hashtag.
Like #OccupyWallSt birthed the #Occupy tactic, call to action & community the Wave Of Action bears similar fruit
The World Wide Wave of Transformation introduced a new dynamic tactic that mixes grassroots campaign mobilization with a little flavor taken from the old world and it's love of large scale, regular community celebrations with the #WaveOfAction Day Of Action on April 4th.
The Wave of Action which hit on April 4th brought together new & old community members was 3 months in the making.
In NYC it was suggested in the spontaneous assembly facilitated by Echo, Harrison & several others at 60 Wall St on 4.4.14 that we attempt a SHORTER wave cycle for the May Day celebrations.
To make this work we need a May Day Wave Hash Tag that can function in the same way.
Are there any suggestions for a name?
Please suggest a SINGLE #hashtag that can be broken down well.
An effective one will need no explanation.

It needs to mean something.
#MayDayMayDay is like sounding an alarm, and I think people need to be alarmed.

Iwanka. Maybe you didn't read the post above asking for one hashtag? Didn't you say you used this platform before? Would love to see your community discussions on how you dealt with funds as you explained in the Occupy listserves.

Those were a few suggestions I thought of and shared for events which could be apart of the big umbrella of #MDW
Hope it helps.

I like the proposal because it is simple and continues the wave:
#MDayWave #MDW
It can include everything.
For instance, in Latin American countries this day is huge - it is Labor Day and it is a national holiday commemorating the Chicago workers uprising for a 8-hours pay, the fight of all the workers in the world and all the unions.
Día del Trabajo - #diadeltrabajo
1 de mayo - #1demayo
For Immigrant workers in the US it is a day validating his work and cheap labor:
1 de mayo - #1demayo

Very important to get people's attention. Sadly that is not the option on the table. Maybe we can build a #MayDayMayDay Tweet Storm DURING May Day? WOuld make use of your great hashtaggery. If we considered such a tactic would that remove your concerns about the tag being proposed?
Dallas Sun 13 Apr 2014 6:19PM
So I'm gonna ask an annoying question: did this group ever agree on total consensus/supermajority/simple majority? I'm totally OK with 8/9/2 = 89% modified consensus, but I think it's only fair to confirm that everyone is OK with this.

Occupy Anonymous Sun 13 Apr 2014 11:40PM
I think this being a horizontal effort the poll speaks for it's self. The account Mary Mcculley is a moniker of an #OWS comrade who wouldn't even stand by their ideas so 68% sounds good to go forward with using the hashtag.. mostly good reaction

EricZen Sun 13 Apr 2014 11:42PM
Random but interesting tech note: I deleted 2 out of the 3 posts with my name on it ... now fully public and undeletable showing above a few days later now.
Dallas: was there a previous discussion somewhere for that question or should this be a new discussion perhaps? Just seems it may get lost here at the bottom of a closed topic.
Dallas Tue 15 Apr 2014 3:05AM
@occupyanonymous there are 8 yes 2 standaside 1 no.... again this is 89% (well 88.8%). Not 68%.
@ericchristozen I don't think that discussion makes sense for a group based on a single day of action that is 2 weeks away. Is there a larger Wave of Action group maybe?
My point is that going forward it's important to define the parameters of consensus/voting for a given proposal or group BEFORE voting/trying to achieve consensus.

Occupy Anonymous Tue 15 Apr 2014 4:21AM
This was informal discussion. Members of Wave Of Action, OWS & other online communities were invited.
One must remember this is a horizontal effort of those involved.
Feel free to invite folks to the conversation & feel make a proposal along those lines.
If we do not speak now, two weeks before when would we?
The issue in the past has been stakeholders of May Day efforts have to made little or any effort to build buy in.
This discussion around the hash tag & the May Day Assembly is intended to do that. Build buy in & community participation.

Looks like #MayDayWave seemed to make the most sense. Let's use & see if it catches on?
