@praveenarimbrathod
It seems some stats are enabled:
https://diasp.in/statistics.json

as per
https://joindiaspora.com/posts/3597144

Are you thinking of something else?

@vik yes, number of users on the pod. You have to enable it in diaspora.yml file.

See https://diasp.org/statistics.json

@vik I just enabled number of users and post counts as I was very curious. We have 82 users currently. Now that we are listed at podupti.me, more users will see diasp.in Also once we publish the front page and publicize the press release, we can expect some more sign ups.

@akshay can we add this as an option to the diaspora-installer? Ask if the user statistics should be enabled and update diaspora.yml accordingly. You can use the same technique we use for nginx.conf.example for updating the configuration file. If you want a test environment, you can use pod.pxq.in

Yes, I want a test environment. Can you share the credentials or add my ssh key?

@akshay access details shared via email. @fayadfami if you want to test things, you can ask akshay to create an account for you. @manukrishnantv we are getting more testers on pod.pxq.in :)

It's fine to obliterate diaspora on pod.pxq.in, is it? Does anyone have any long running experiment running on it?

Pirate Praveen

@akshay yes, just see if someone is already on the server (w command) and if not you can assume it is available. For long term experiments we can just have people reserve the system with @anisha or @manukrishnantv .

@akshay Seems there is no long running experiments at the moment. pod.pxq.in is running on an atom server and that too virtualized. So there might be some resource constrains.

Make sure you keep a backup of the ssl certificate and associated files before purging the present instance. Recreating one needs some effort.

@manukrishnantv thanks . I'll keep the ssl in mind.

I wouldn't have thought it is an atom server at all unless you said so :D It works beautifully! :D
