The proposal is to put a funding application into Harcourts Foundation for the sum of $3265,
which would include the development of a community website, a brand and an additional fee for site administration. The site content would be developed by a steering group. The details of the sum sought are listed below.
Renew Brighton would make the funding application on behalf of the community and manage the funds; the site would remain the property of the community.
Details:
Website & Domain set up: $180
Design and Customisation $670
Noticeboard integrations & Content uploading $670
Testing and Training $180
Hosting $25/month
additional training $45/hour
(excl GST)
other costs: Flickr Account (annual fee for unlimited photo storage) $30USD
Noticeboard Plugin (annual fee) $50USD
Services for the development of the website would be provided by 21degrees
The Domain Name newbrighton.org.nz is taken (NBRA) but greaterbrighton.org.nz and newbrightoncommunity.org.nz are available.
The development of a brand will cost $250-800
additional posters $100-$500 (depending on artwork involved) Prices provided by Denise Mill.
This is quite a complicated proposal with the deadline for funding application via the Harcourts Foundation being the 30th September.

Doesn't look excessive and it's a great idea. A good website could be one of the things we need to tell people how much awesome stuff is happening here. Count me in for the steering group

Accept and get the funding application in while we have the chance! Price sounds right and if it benefits the whole community - lets do it :)

I have no idea how much we should expect for a quote like this. Is this the only quote or where there others??
I will though be guided by those who know more about this than me!
