The water main replacement is behind schedule. Instead of preventing you from parking on one entire side of your street for another 5 weeks, I did ask KY AM Water to work with their contractor to return as much street parking as they can where they currently are not working.
As of this post, their “no parking/tow permit signs” from LexPD are expired (as of 10/4) if you get towed that’s important information to know. Hopefully they get back on track to complete by the first week of November.

Good morning! It’s Monday 10/9 and I’ve got an update on the water main replacement for your street. LCC foreman advised to expect the main to be replaced by the end of November. They only work Mondays - Thursdays and are not enforcing their parking notices on Fridays-Sundays.
After the main is replaced, flushed, pressure-tested and ready for use, they will begin moving your connection from the old main to the new one in December (weather permitting). You’ll be without water from 30-45 minutes when they make the tap change over (house by house doing roughly 3-4 houses per day). They said they will “try to let occupants know when they are shutting off the water for a move over to the new main”.
I’m reaching back out to KY AM Water to ask they enforce their subcontractor to make proper notice as when they moved my house line over, the amount of mud in the lines ruined water filters and knowing it’s happening to flush your line through your bathtub/shower can make the situation better.
