Async Meetings

So it is clear what I mean by my definition of asynchronous: not happening at the same time or place.

This can still allow for a main meeting, but those not attending can either send someone with an appended meeting of their own to be considered or submit this on the web using email or a forum type setting. The meetings would also have a duration of time, or proposals made in that fashion would wait until the next major meeting. I am not sure how others do this or any evidence as to how it should.

Other possibilities would include scheduling a meeting for an entire demographic of groups at once. Like occult corups/pagan space staff/temple ilum etc to have an ongoing way of innovating, collaborating and establishing contact with networks related to theirs. (I used this genre of sites as examples because I think everyone is familiar with them)

I know my idea was to make more frequent meetings, rather than draw them out. Maybe this sounds like the opposite direction but I think this would allow for both.

Any can have meetings at any time at any rate for any purpose and they all meet each other at some point. Their presence just gives them a advantage based on ability to interact real time and in turn increases urgency of their views or project.

People with large audiences, and name droppers want to throw us something from afar it is no trouble. If someone who has no audience and no experience with what they are doing demand that it is the coolest thing on earth and they need help distributing this immediately then they can show up.

This is not about contributions though but rather getting them involved in direct-decision making. We need the minds to get this done we are all completely in over are head in my best opinion (which is a good sign of success).

I think the most important reason for meetings is conversing faster. Second I think meetings are important to groups because it provides some type of rhythm to give a loose harmonic tone to the natural hierarchy.

Ideas?

I'd like to try out the asynchronous method. New methods may lead to new insights on efficiency, the worst that happens is its ineffective.
