Number of discussions shown on a page
I'd appreciate an option to choose the number of discussions shown on the page.
For large active communities being able to choose a larger number of discussions would enable me to get an overview of what is happening much quicker than what I can see with the default view of ten.
Having such an option would make using Loomio more enjoyable for me and I suspect for many other people.
@jonlemmon i don't know if it is useful to be an endless scroll, especial for people with low connection on internet.
That would be great. It is becoming a common feature in many web based applications.
Ok, so I have just tested how to add and destroy a comment :) Tried the endless scroll and not so keen on it - I guess I like to be the decision maker even if it's just an old school clicking on 'Next'. What I noticed is that currently the home page is quite long because of the members listed in a long list on the right hand side. While it is still like that, the number of discussions can definitely be increased to 20 per page. Choosing your own number could be good if as a unobtrusive drop down box at the top of the list. Otherwise I prefer a little bit longer list rather than smaller...so 25 and you have to scroll down a bit instead of 10 and that you need to click next 2 times.
Also would it be possible to have a number of open discussions somewhere. ...does not tell me even approximately how many 'Next' to be clicked until I get to the end.
I also like the option to display more discussions per page either with continuous scrolling or with a simple drop down to show e.g. 10, 25, 50, 100, all
and yes, lots of good stuff could be borrowed from discourse (as mentioned by @jonlemmon ), including ability to edit and reply to comments etc.
