Invited guests (non-CoTech members) for Wortley Hall
A thread for people to suggest non-CoTech members for invites to Wortley Hall. At 8 September planning meeting it was agreed that anyone who does not work for a tech worker co-op could only be invited by agreement on Loomio. If no-one gets agreed here then everyone at the event will work for a uk-based tech worker co-op.
Unless otherwise stated, the agreement is to invite the specified person/organisation but not to subsidise their ticket - they pay the same price as other attendees.

makes tons of sense to talk to him at Wortley Hall

If the main purpose of the event is "to make CoTech better" then bring in more members would seem like one way to do that. If, by Ed coming, we can get clarity on Green Net's application, then that sounds like a good thing.

As I recall GreenNet were whisker-close to being eligible for membership, so should definitely be at the event. At least one of the them and ideally more IMHO.

At some point, either Co-Tech or some of the coops involved might need to raise some money. I think Dave would be a good person to start exploring that with.

Would Co-operatives UK be interested in anyone attending? I'd support John Atherton attending on their behalf, if he were able, with a view to keeping them in the loop and ensuring we co-operative with them where possible.

Would it be worth inviting The News Co-op, even if just for a day trip (they are based in Manchester), to see if they would like to write an article about CoTech?
(I haven't spoken to them about this but Webarchitects is a member of their co-op and they are a member of our co-op and we host their servers.)
