New header design
Whil porting the header to Bootstrap, I've made some few design changes to make it consistant with the rest of the new design. This proposition is about adopting these few design changes.
Here is a comparison of what it looked before and how it look right now :
and here is how it looks now :
The key design changes are :
- no more shadow at the bottom of the header,
- the searchbar is higher and squared like the bootstrap's button are,
- the notifications dropdown is bigger, each notification has more padding, the profile pictures are bigger to improve readability,
- the user menu is now white with blue links.
Adopt the design changes on the header.

This proposal should be reopened if the author reopens the pull request.
The proposition is about adopting all the changes. Though, it is opened to debate. So, if a precise point clearly concerns enough people, I can open other propositions to discuss them.
YES : The new design is ok to me.
ABSTAIN : I'd like to discuss about a change, but it is no big problem to me as is.
NO : I have strong concerns about the new design and I want to discuss it before it is applied.

I can't see any good reason to redesign it like this, I'm afraid. I think the current design looks better than the new one. Having a pale drop-down looks odd in the context of the dark navbar.

Setting the technical points raised by Dennis aside, I don't like this. Not the search, nor the white menu, nor the grey button background on active integrate well into our current design. Let's redesign the header together with the rest of the site

I love ! Maybe just the white button on the right should be black as navbar, but that's a detail !

I think that the redesign is cleaner and easier to the eyes than the old navbar. The whole height buttons and white menu are for me the most important changes to keep.
