Should we redesign the website?

oh ... mmm .. if lots of people show via this vote that we need to get on and change the website ... then i will support the change... I don't quite understand how we actually physically change over... does Tom mean leaving GetOnline and using Nationbuilder instead or does he have his own version of the proposed website up online somewhere or does he just want access to GetOnline's website editor - so he can create a new version of our website? let us know what you would like Tom....

The current website certainly loads fast enough so I don't have any issue sticking with GetOnline hosting.
Berge has given the go ahead for some security testing so i'll be running some scans/tools over the coming weeks to see if I can find any cracks but so far it looks fine.

I really do like the nationbuilder platform but at the same time its not going to look after 100% of our needs, its not going to be easy to lay our member login / vote solution on top but we could certainly point to it.
Perhaps a hybrid will be the solution.

This discussion should be either in the IC or Website circle but yes, I do agree that the website needs redesigning.

Ricky's right outdated and Malcoms note of info graphical sounds attractive. Are you thinking Social media type adapted to voting.
My visual approach as you guys started, would be to get into the website in a 3D manner, not in a normal page manner. Might be too complicated but innovative and I think attractive.

@tomoliveri this particular proposal of yours Tom - closes in 5 hours.... could we extend it a little to at least let Berge place a vote? or @bergedersarkissian you could just place your vote ..?

The Website could do with a make over but I like the layout and flow - it contains a lot of info in logical order -so redesign the website - not really - but if others want to spend time coming up with better websites, that is fine.

i agree with Berge...and certainly it will depend on the time available to the Delegate of the Website (me) to try and work with Brett Cones and Berge and others like Tom (who hasnt as yet even acesssed the website editor that getonline provides and of which i have already asked Brett to get back to me and he hasnt got back to me.

@tomoliveri things go way slower here at sol than most people would like.. but that is the case if you are dealing with a workforce of unpaid volunteers - and a process of continual consensus

I get annoyed with how long it takes to get things done. And embarrassed. I don't even want to talk about how long it has taken to get a newsletter out.
