Shit. I missed this. I’m on for doing this again! Can we hustle and get something together based on last years abstract?

For the townhall we just need a title and a description I think. So 3-4 sentences might even be sufficient (can be probably be copied from last year). For the title I would suggest something less specific than last year, such as "Free your science: How preprints can change the way we do science".

Sorry not to react earlier. I'm still on hold and chances are I won't attend EGU'19. If I'm there, I'll help

I won't attend EGU but it is a great idea !

I think it would be also great to organize something in one year at IAS in Roma (Sept 10-13, 2019). A session (- does it make sense) ? A talk ? Any other event ? Any idea where we could find the money to organize an apero where we would explain EarthArXiv and distribute stickers ? Who is going (I'll be there) ? Who has ideas and feels like organizing something with me ? Deadline for session proposal is in October but it's better if we don't do it last minute then we have time to ask around, or maybe include some of the ambassadors working in sedimentology.

The deadline for townhall meetings is only in January, so happy to help. Changes of me going to EGU are 50/50 at the moment.
