Hey folks, I have a request from a friend to fiscally sponsor her technical event. Here is her request:

> I’m writing to officially request that Technocation serve as a fiscal sponsor to Offline Camp, taking place August 2-5, 2019 in Grants Pass, Oregon.

> This will be the 5th edition of Offline Camp, a tech retreat that aims to bring together the growing community of Offline First enthusiasts to explore how we can create technology that works in low- and no-bandwidth scenarios. The event is structured as an unconference and we typically limit ourselves to 25-35 attendees for an amazing community vibe. (Here's a video on the Offline Camp experience.) Our attendees are developers, UX pros, and product managers excited to learn from each other while sharing challenges and proposing solutions to addressing network challenges. Campers also write up summaries of our discussions to share in our Medium publication so that we can educate the wider tech community.

> The event is a not-for-profit labor of love of our small group of organizers and does not currently have its own business entity. We’ve used a variety of fiscal sponsors successfully for our four past events since 2016 and have never spent more than we took in. I expect the new income for this year's event to total roughly $20K - $25K depending on final attendee and sponsor numbers. Most of that would come in through transfers from Tito (our registration system), though some sponsors may prefer to be invoiced and pay by check. Most spend would be in the form of checks to our venue and caterer, reimbursement (via PayPal or check) of organizer or scholarship recipient travel, and a few online purchases if feasible (otherwise we can manage via reimbursements). I'd be happy to share a more detailed look at our budget if needed.
