True. The big thing about going out of slack would be if we need to stay on topic for intense conversations. It would also allow folks to change their minds so folks could have a snapshot of things in time. So this would be less like "what pizza should we have for lunch" and more strategic decisions.

One more thought to this: there is slack integration but I would have to pay for it. Which I can do if it gets to that level (It may, btw, especially as CFM moves a little more towards non-profit and I'll need buy in from everyone.)

I generally tend to lean towards less communication channels because I've been part of OS communities where the communication was fragmented and it was extremely difficult to stay in sync. This will be used sparingly on occasions where we don't want people's insights on a specific topic to be lost in a stream of comments which often happens with messaging apps.
