Have we considered using Hometown?

Hometown is a great Mastodon fork that I assume many here are familiar with. It allows local-only posting and has a number of other user friendly tweaks. It's maintained by Darius Kazemi (@[email protected]) who's a respected contributor to many fediverse projects.
Darius is releasing released Hometown 1.1.0 today tomorrow, to bring it up to speed with Mastodon 4.0.2. I can see social.coop benefiting from a lot of his additions. Have we ever considered moving to it?

I saw in this post that Darius is working on a governance model for managing Hometown going forward. I think it would be great for social.coop to be part of it somehow.

The idea of using Hometown was generally well received when discussed a few months ago!
I'm glad to see the new release. I think the tech working group expressed interest in trying it on a test server.
