Build - things that are good to know

W waldo Public Seen by 55

It is not going to be an easy year, but it sure as hell is going to be fantastic! - Bob the builder -

Some key stuff:

  • Official build starts on Saturday 16th and ends Wednesday 21/06 12:00 (no cars allowed on site thereafter)
  • Event ends & strike starts Sunday 24/06 early afternoon
  • Build safe! If anything, it really slows you down and ruins the atmosphere

Build materials

Through the KBORG build crew

  • you can enter your material (wood, shade,...) desires here: http://bit.ly/2KCGxSC
  • you can enter your tools (stuff you need to build) desires (that you then can lend out from on site) here: http://bit.ly/2HOPUAZ

Tips & Tricks

There are so many small tips to building constructions in windy environments, with hopefully a lot of sun and hopefully little rain (but don't count on it). You need to think of how to put up shade, which areas need to be absolutely dry, where does power come in, where does the fire extinguisher go, what about the kitchen? Do we want to put the water cube up high, so we have an easy washing station? How to support that? What about the poles, how high should they go, how to protect them from ripping the shade cloth. What about deco, what about digging the holes in the ground. etc.etc. We are here to help.

I have this vivid image of me running off cackling crazily with a hammer in my hand, borrowed from Toolhaus :D

Hei toolhouse, I would like to bring my sackkarre and make it available to use during build. I mainly bring it so I can go back home by public transport if needed.
It needs to be transportet to the side. I would prefer to have it with me in the DM van but I have no clue if that fits.

Specifics: Air tires suitable for the ground at side, can carry up to 200kg, see picture

a) Is toolhouse / production interested in using the sackkarre
b) If yes - should I bring it to soulbottles (properly tagged of course) for production to take with them in the build material bus or to another place
