Hi all, is anyone on this still active/interested in pursing home building with a coop?
Hey, i see a few months have passed with no activity. I'm assuming it was either a "fizzling out" or people are talking on another forum?
I'm looking to gather a group of motivated people with the aim of buying a plot of land, sub dividing it and making some savings by building together and in time form a community of people that actually want to contribute.
There are 2 existing cooperatives that have formed and are in the early stages, i'm hoping all those with similar goals and requirements can merge and take a realistic approach to actually getting started and making some moves.
Thanks, Eoin

@eoinpayne -decision-making tools are normally on the upper righthand side, just realising you may have to be a group admin to do a check.
If you can't see them @ me, and I'll see about adding you as an admin or something :)

By 'pin' I mean lease of land to pursue business looking toward buying @ some stage funded by Bizz turnover ! ''Pin to bizz'' in otherwords & any buildings which may become attached to develop them as residences available to housing associations or as co-operative /CLT model ! That all depends on success of Bizz though . Bizz itself is in horticulture. Product initially is just small plants & maybe herb/salad pots & planters .

@daviephilip - any chance you could start a new thread - and maybe had a few paragraphs with a status update? We can then pin this to the group. Might be good for people to quickly get a sense of active projects at a glance - ask questions etc.

Hi Sam, I forgot to ask.. where can I find the decision making tool to run the check for who is still interested? I'm not sure if I'm using this thread correctly, I posted with an outline of how I plan to proceed.. if we are aligned give me a shout and we can see about teaming up.
Davie, was there any notes from the radical affordability session? I've been looking at the prefab route, seems like a good idea and glad to hear you mention it also. I wonder how they fare when it comes to larger structures like a flat complex or small apartment block. I also wonder if they bulk discount if a co-op orders multiple units at once.
