Quarterly Email Weed-Out

K Kay Public Seen by 185

Hello Unicorns! We onboarded some new Unicorns and they ofc want Giveth email addresses! Now as many here know, we still have not setup payment for Zoho email because it can get quite expensive with many users. I would love to give Michael and Jeff the opportunity to get a Giveth email address.

If you have a Giveth email address, that is purely forwarding emails to another email address - please tell me. The reason is - we actually use two different services with Zoho (full email - i.e. you want to send and receive) being very reliable and Gandi, sometimes a bit wonky but free for forwarding, being used for fowarding emails.

Also - there are some people who changed their work status with Giveth that use one of our precious ZOHO accounts. Likely candidates that probably don't need the full ZOHO package:

Oz - uses 0% of his email (would like to change this account to forward)
Satya - uses 2% (glad to leave it but unsure about status within Giveth - maybe change to forward)
Kirch - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
RJ - uses 0% of his email (would like to change this account to forward)
Grace - are you using your zoho account? you have two in the system - I guess the older one you probably use, but the Zoho one maybe not?
Jen - uses 0%, Giveth status changed (would like to change this account to forward)
Edu - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
Xavi - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
Alex - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
Alon - uses 0%, Giveth status unclear (would like to change this account to forward)
dapplion - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
bowen - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)
lanski - uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward)

The people I tagged with uses 0% (would like to change this account to forward) - please get in touch with me to give me another email address you use

Where is this 0% figure coming from? I ask because I use my giveth address for all my giveth related email... It's literally a pinned tab in my chrome...

Same here... 0% of space?

It says using 0% of space on both of your mailboxes, but if you guys use your email account you will ofc keep it. That is the reason why I am asking around :)

Ah OK that makes sense, I regularly clear it out, and it has been relatively low volume :)

I definitely agree with the weed out! This looks like it'll clear up a lot of space. I actually have a question I have been unable to figure out re: fwding and replying from. I forward mine to my gmail account just to make sure i see it (and i like the interface better) but I can't figure out how to make my replies come from the [email protected] address. This is frustrating because a big reason I want the giveth addy is so my full name email doesn't pop up anywhere, and i recently realized it's everywhere :( 95% of emails I engage with right now are from [email protected] so I would really like to fix this! This might be a weird place to put this, was gonna msg you kay but hey maybe others are having a similar problem.

Yeah, if I can figure that out and I can send from [email protected], I should be fine saving some money for Giveth!

Sorry for the late reply - you have a fully configured mailbox in ZOHO - it won't work from gmail directly (not with our google plan at least). You can either set up a mail client or use the Zoho webmail to send from [email protected]

Hmm, I have been able to set up gmail to send as another account for at least a dozen different emails over the years, you just need server info from Zoho and you set it up in Gmail. I can take a look at this again, I haven't set mine up yet and use them separately because, it feels good to have something that ISN'T attached to Google, lol.
