Name change of ILUG to Indian Linux User Group (ilugcochin.org) Closed Fri 15 Aug 2014 4:14PM
Hi,
Please let me know your opinion about name change of ILUG Cochin to Indian Linux User Group.
I have read the mailing list archives about name change of ILUG to Indian Libre User Group from Indian Linux User Group (ilug-cochin.org). Since the name changed to Indian Libre User Group (ilug-cochin.org) you can see what happened, most of them left the group. Where are they who supported the name change?
Have anyone notice that the mailing list of ilug-cochin.org is not functioning since more than two weeks!
Where are the Libre India Trust members?
So our new domain ilugcochin.org should change the name to INDIAN LINUX USER GROUP COCHIN.
Compare to Libre It make sense!

I am happy to move all the domains related to FSUS, LUG, etc which I hold to any form of organization which can take care of its renewal on time.
Otherwise, it will be great to keep a public list of the domains and who holds it now (or sponsored the renewal), in a wiki or some other form. Fosscommunity wiki seems like the best option for me.
