Pop up comments on Menu pages

As a user, I'm on my Home page, looking at the list of most recently commented-on discussions, and the number of comments for each one. What would be kick-ass is if I could preview the new comments, without having to the discussion page for them, which can currently involve a lot of clicking around, and waiting for pages to load.

I can think of at least one ways for this to work from the user-end. I click the little speech bubble giving the number of comments, and a larger speech bubble appears with the new comments in it. I can scroll up and down, and dismiss the pop-up by clicking elsewhere. Once I have done this, it toggles those comments to read. This makes new comments much quicker to browse through, and makes Loomio easier to use with multiple groups.
