I suggest it for the reason that someone might create a new discussion for a same subject because it couldn't find and also if there are many discussion it would be very difficult to find if there is same discussion somewhere else.
@robertguthrie is this now in testing? Look forward to it existing - should really help make it a lot easier to find discussions and inform decision of whether or not to create a new one! :)

@aaronthornton What about a search bar that expands when you click in it? It's already über-prominent — maybe the most attention-getting item on the page at the moment.
@matthewbartlett you have access to the screenshot now. It doesn't need to be any bigger, just thought it looked cooler?
@aaronthornton IMHO it looks overpowering/dominant if it stays at that width all the time.
I've got a search branch well underway. I expect it'll be ready to beta test in a week.
