Maybe a rethink on the visible_on_explore_front_page thing?

Its a weird catch22. Unless there are at least 3 members and at least 3 discussions, groups don't appear on the explore page. This is kind of a problem when a new site goes online...

 scope :visible_on_explore_front_page,
   -> { visible_to_public.categorised_any.parents_only.
         created_earlier_than(2.months.ago).
         active_discussions_since(1.month.ago).
         more_than_n_members(3).
         more_than_n_discussions(3).
         order('discussions.last_comment_at')
 }

Yeah the Explore page needs a big overhaul....

@denjello what would your ideal Explore experience be?

Denjello

For me, exploring is about: people, discussions and groups. I would like to know more about all of these, and exploration should allow me to look beyond the rim of my soup bowl.

I am especially interested in the other people. It would be great to have a graph showing people that are in the same groups as I am and the groups that they are in (if not private).

I actually dropped this scope on our installation entirely because I am facing the problem of "early adoption but no community" in that there is nothing to see on the explore front page because there were not enough discussions and so people couldn't find any groups. :/
