Permalinks via app
Luke Flegg PublicSeen by 56I often want to link people to a thread, or a comment on a thread but I can't link to anything or share a group or anything if I'm using the app (mobile version. What's it called, a restless app? So I don't know how to share it with anyone unless I'm on web browser.)
in other apps the link on the timestamp does that…
Ah yes, I see it for specific comments, I just can't see how to link someone to a thread or group. Only a specific comment on a thread! (Using the app)
On Android/chrome added web-apps, long tap on any links opens a modal allowing to copy the link URL. On Android/Firefox added web-apps, the long tap opens a bar with the share button, which allows to copy to clipboard too.
I guess the same happens on iOS or other phone OS...
Not sure a copy link button needs to be in Loomio's UI, it makes me think of all these print buttons across the web, when every browser has this in its own UI, using less space and causing less distraction...
There's a 'copy url' action which looks like a link for comments; we used to have it there for threads as well, but it seems to have disappeared; I'll see what can be done about getting it back. Clicking that link should copy the permalink of the think in question to your clipboard for easy pasting / sharing.
