I talked with them in person about a year ago. The organization looks reasonable. I see no risks for OMA in joining it.

Ark Linux was a member back before we merged it into OM -- never had any problem with them.
We may want to take over Ark's membership instead of creating a new membership though -- that protects us from a few more older patents.

Having read about it I can't see we will come to any harm by doing so. Seems like a good thing especially given Microsofts continued aggression against Linux.
