Ideas for social media coordination
From Alli: I would like to discuss a more targeted plan going forward, which doesn't just throw out ideas, but ties posts to the calendar to create consistent messaging around getting involved, fundraising needs, campaign needs, and upcoming "important dates"(events) where we want as much engagement/people showing up as possible.

If we want to show a calendar interface, we can create a template with our event dates as a graphic to share into our social media stories.
We can create a template Excel calendar once/month.

Looking for a calendar template in Excel.

Let's identify local issues and social media trends we can use to create content focusing on our key values. Develop video "essays" and creative content to attract new people. Can also take photos holding our messaging as an alternative to graphics. We need to be edgy to get people to pay attention.

Halima likes what the climate justice movement is doing on social media, talking into the camera to get attention.

Hi @Alli - I know @Halima is taking a break from volunteer work for a couple months and won’t be able to join tomorrow. Should we still meet? Or wait until Halima can join us for a meeting?

Hi @Lisa Canar (she/her) - I dont really have anything to offer for our meeting at this time, other than I just posted 3 new posts for Washington voters and tagged everyone (wa state gp pages) as collaborators if they want to collaborate & share with their audience. Im good with waiting until halima gets back, unless there is someone else owning the gpsea page in the meantime? Maybe we want to work with @KarissaMHP (she/her) on her social strategy for gpwa? Im open to ideas and feedback on whatever other people want to do! Im flexible.

Let's wait to meet until Halima is back. For now, I will reschedule the meeting to Monday, November 16th. We can coordinate here in Loomio on strategies and updates until then.

@Lisa Canar (she/her) Hi Lisa, of course we had a meeting on monday, but my inspiration didn't happen until last night - see below post. Maybe we could still meet sometime soon?

Ideas from our meeting tonight:
Create posts referencing our 4 pillars and 10 key values
Bring posts back to our foundation and values, and focus on local agenda issues in each area
If we have a master calendar, we can create posts around key events and upcoming dates; create strategy leading up to each event
We need an interactive calendar - Halima has been looking into these
Alli uses apps like Planoly: https://www.planoly.com/
Can we create an excel sheet for organizing purposes (statewide)?
Halima would also like to include events from many organizations that we would like to attend or boost
Seattle DSA events page is a good example of a public-facing calendar: Events for August 2026 – Seattle Democratic Socialists of America
