Norwegian Social Forum participation

Sorry for the inactivity from my part as well and thanks to Madeleine for the initiative! I actually had written this message several days ago but it seems I didn't push the send button, so it wasn't sent... :/
However, it's great to hear that we can however still have a slot! Could it be a good idea that we have a Skype (or similar) meeting soon with the people who want to be part of this? I'm available during daytime mostly, evenings this week are a bit difficult.
If you think this is a good idea, we can also do a timing poll here.

Yes, I think a Skype meeting would really help us to get started with organising this. I am pretty flexible about my schedule this and next week so daytime would work for me. If there’s more interest in having a meeting a time pol would be great, thank you Laura!

Dear Madeleine and Laura. I am really sorry, I lost this thread during summer holidays. We are now finalizing the program for the conference. If still interested we could find some room in the program for this. But we would need to make som quick decision in order to be included in printed program and such.

Nice to hear back from you Ole! :) Agree with you Jason, nowegian social forum would be a great opportunity to continue building a network, however we would need to have some people to take responsibility for organising it. Laura and Ruby (and other from commons.fi that you are in contact with) are you still interested in building a network and having a second meeting? Since you took leadership in organising the first meeting it would be good to know more about what’s your thoughts on this.

I'm really sorry, I also got a bit lost as I had tons of work before returning to field work in Bolivia where I am at the moment.
I won't be able to go to Oslo and I don't know if any of our Finnish fellows are either. What I would be able to do, is to spread the word to some people who weren't able to attend our meetup in Helsinki. However, as I will still be doing fieldwork and will be busy for a couple of weeks more, I won't be able to help with the programme. It's a pity if nothing will happen in Oslo but I think we would have needed a few more hands in the organisation to make it happen a bit earlier.
Madeleine, are you able to go to Oslo? Maybe if there are couple of people still attending, there could just be some sort of short info session and a more informal meeting? What do you think?

Hi dear all - apologising for the silence from my end. In the line up of things, I havent been able to push this more to the forefront and act on things. I am certainly still interested in us taking further what we started in Helsinki, but have now been royally missing the boat for this one.

Are there people going to Oslo, to do forinstance as suggested by Laura? We are having a commons.fi meeting on wednesday, I will bring it up too. But so it is clear that no concerted efforts here now

This being said - and whilst again regretting we are missing the opportunity of Oslo - can we try to identify something else next year? Could this perhaps connect to the ongoing process of the WSF of transformative economies ?! Could we have a NESEM meeting working words the WSFof transformative economies in 2020? Perhaps Jason could offer some insight on what kind of a sequence we could imagine?
