Loomio

Groups and users disappeared.

I have a development setup of loomio on a local server. I have been testing with a couple of users and a bunch of groups all the processes and features.

I made myself an admin updating the database, so now I am able to access /admin path. I have deleted two previously deactivated groups. After this action, the other groups (with the discussions and proposal of course) and all the users, had disappeared. Everything is gone.

What could have happened?

Tough to diagnose with this level of detail; you used the /admin/groups route to delete some deactivated groups? Using a batch action? Are you able to reproduce the behaviour by creating other groups and deleting one of them? Are you able to get into a rails console and confirm that the groups / discussions / motions are indeed deleted?

Yep, sorry for the lack of feedback.

  • I have used the /admin/groups route to add the groups admin page and delete the groups.
  • I have made a single selection over the list and also a selection of all the groups.
  • Then I have deleted the groups using the Batch actions button.

After this three actions, all the groups and my user
had disappeared.

I have read the table groups on the database and it is completely empty.

Do you need more information in order to diagnose the issue? Do not hesitate a bit to ask whatever you may need.

Loomio is a very nice tool and it would a pity not to go ahead with the deployment on my company due to this :-(

The "Delete Spam" batch action in admin/groups is designed to remove all traces of a group and the user who created it.

You should not need to use the admin interface much, if at all. I don't recommend spending time in there.
