London Meetup - WEDS 28th Sept
It's been way too long since we saw each other.... and Ed has kindly offered us the use of Newspeak House (near Brick lane) for free, on Thursday the 29th September. So I'd like to gauge interest... Would you be interested in joining a very informal event at which we might:
spend some time socialising...
share some v short 2 min presentations about people's projects...
do a bit more experimentation with @Adam McKenty 's laser pointer 'collective intelligence' idea... to explore group views on the climate emergency and the most effective strategies for groups to be working on right now...
drink some tea...
do whatever else the group decides
If you'd like to attend, and/or have ideas for things you would like to do or present at the event, please add to the thread below and hopefully we can co-create some magic ;)

Hi Oli, we (me and Ben from Creative Coop) would be interested in coming on 29th Sep - would be good to catch up on developments and say hi! We don't really have any relevant projects to present, but maybe you can think of some way we could contribute? Or we could just talk briefly about what we're up to as a Co-op...

Hi All, thanks for the feedback... so we have 5 people interested...
Is anyone else near / in London and interested in meeting up?
I have asked Indra (who is part of The Open Co-op Family and runs https://www.thealternative.org.uk/ ) whether people from their London community might like to join too...

It could happen. I'm going to be speaking at Zebu Live on Sept 22, officially announcing my new project, then staying a friend for Rosh Hashana, and then considering staying through to attend Diana Finch's event in Bristol on Oct 4 (although it's also a holiday eve)... so if I decide to stick around I would want to come. (Deciding to stick around might be dependent on some friendly people in the community offering me a couch to sleep on for a few more days.)

Great idea. I'd love to meet people, but tea... hm... 'fraid not. I'm based in the South of France and my budget and availability are a bit unpredictable - so cannot commit to much, sadly. At the same time, there is an idea that I'd like some feedback on, and an informal event seems like a good place to get it, so let's see how things work out. But go for it... let those who can, come and do what needs to be done.
