Relaunching 'barefoot' – next cohort starts on 25 April

JG Jonny Gordon-Farleigh Public Seen by 169

Stir to Action and Co-op Culture are teaming up to relaunch ‘barefoot’ – a six-month programme that has provided more than 65 practitioners with specialist support to gain skills, knowledge, and confidence to work as democratic business advisors since 2020. This new partnership will support the programme’s expansion across the UK, offer alumni networking events, and create more opportunities for practitioners to deliver advice through national business programmes.

The next cohort starts on 25 April, so if you're interested in joining the course, see more information and the application form here.

How to fund your course fee?

  • Ask your co-operative

  • If you're connected to a CDA/CDB, ask if they could fully or partially subsidise your fee as part of a commitment to work with them as an advisor

  • Create a proposal on solid fund to see if members are willing to invest in your training

Any questions about the course?

If you have any questions about the course content/modules beyond what is provided on the website, contact barefoot@culture.coop

@Graham

It's the OpenDNS filtering used by my ISP.

I contacted them, and it's not the first time they have had this problem.

I changed the DNS settings on my browser, and it was sorted. :D

The linked website, https://www.stirtoaction.com/barefoot is blocked by Firefox right now.

"Invalid Certificate"

Could someone get in touch with them, so they can fix it?

I have tried shouting them via Twitter, but no response so far, and i haven't found their Mastodon channel.

Any other route to find them?
