The letter is part of NoVA branch’s work supporting the tenants in Southern Towers and other Bell Partners properties in Virginia. 

From one of the organizers:

This letter informs Bell’s investors about the health and safety concerns of tenants and the risks of Bell’s response to the COVID-19 crisis. It asks them to urge Bell to negotiate with tenants and avoid mass evictions. Currently over 350 tenants in Southern Towers have signed the letter to Bell demanding rent cancellation and sanitation in the building. New Virginia Majority also has tenant contacts in another Bell property (Dominion) where the car rally caravan went on May 1.

An affirmative vote on this letter is also a vote for Irene K, as chair, signing the letter on behalf of the chapter.
