Draft PublicSeen by 398I don't know if it's not written properly, or if my english is really bad, but shouldn't we say : open appS ecosystem ? I mean there are several apps in this ecosystem right ?
When I see Open App Ecosystem, I think about one app who manage an ecosystem. And I don't think this is what we want to do right ?

There has already been so much work done under this name already...

As I see it, "open app" represents a type of app instead of representing any specific app or set of apps.
From that perspective, it is correct grammar in English.

No, it wouldn't mean that any "open app" is part of "Open App Ecosystem"
if "Open App Ecosystem" is a name which represents a specific unique system.
(Honestly I don't care much about this issue. Either Open App Ecosystem or Open Apps Ecosystem is grammatically correct.)
yeah, i think @bobhaugen has always called this group the "Open Apps Ecosystem". i'm ambivalent, happy to rename if a proposal to rename has no blocks.
I'm good with renaming.
I like it the way it is, one ecosystem of a bunch of open apps. And also, I think as a small group ourselves, we point is to work towards one ecosystem, however loosely connected - more than one is just splintering of our efforts, which is more like where we are now, not where we want to be. But just my opinion, and I don't care deeply about it.
Reach an agreement on the name

Marc is going to make a website for our global action (make interoperate different apps). We need to agree on domain name.
First it would be nice to reach an agreement on the name of the global action (maybe we agree, but it's always nice to make sure that we are). What do you prefer Open App Ecosystem, or Open Apps Ecosystem ? With an S or without ?
He will do it on sunday so we need to agree before ;)

I don't care much about the name, but I want to note my perception that it's a huge creative challenge to identify a group identity such as "our global action".
I'll be interested in any efforts to develop a group identity-- and, I'll also be extremely cautious about identifying myself as a member of any group identity.
Yeah, "our global action" might be a bit grandiose. Let's see what we can do for awhile...
We need this huge objective to make action to fulfill this objective. Just need to focus on smaller objective, then achieve it, find another one that will fulfill the global objective, and work on this new action. :D

Not really - an ecosystem is: a complex network or interconnected system.
It doesn't matter how many "things" live / are within that ecosystem, it doesn't need a plural. So it stays as: Open App Ecosystem (containing multiple apps)
