We should change the name "Inner Circle" to "Senator Online Staff"

Recently there has been a discussion raised by some members of the Inner Circle, that the name "Inner Circle" appears to outsiders as exclusive and elitist, even though that was not the intention from the Holacratic principles that inspired the name. Some of us within the Inner Circle now wish to change that term.
I therefore put forward someone else's suggestion that we replace it with the term "Senator Online Staff".

i am going to have to re-raise this proposal again and start over from scratch... i like Rickys comments.

i think the "SOL Inner Circle" needs to be replaced with the words "SOL CORE STAFF & DELEGATES" because that accurately describes what it actually IS. and then it will be changed to "DDD CORE STAFF & DELEGATES".
So what do you guys think of this?

I am happy with what ever name people chose.

@olivermintersolvol oh, I thought I read it here. If it wasn't from another discussion my thoughts must have interrupted my reading.

@rickyj i had to create another discussion and proposal because it was clear that the original wasn't worded correctly and needed more input from everyone..

@peterlindsay we already have an admin group. That is something different.

I wrote someone else an email explaining our structure just not long ago. I'll forward it to you.

@olivermintersolvol I actually like the name as it appears in this proposal more. "SOL Staff" or more appropriately, "SOL Core Staff" seem fine. "SOL Core Delegates" also seems fine. I would prefer SOL Core Staff as it is two less syllables.

@rickyj except ricky if we leave off the word "delegates" then the IC ceases to be holacratic. coz what it is really meant to be is a group of the most active staff and also a group containing all the other delegates from all the other subgroups.. its not meant to be a top down Executive that dictates to all the other groups...

No matter what we call the core staff, they will still be the delegates from the other groups, similar to holocracy and sociocracy. It's just easier to say "Core Staff" than it is to say "Core Staff and Delegates".
