Real Media Report
Hey all, me and Dan went to the Real Media thing, we had a stall there, but only 2 papers unfortunately. We also gave a presentation on the structure of Slaney Street, how we do things, current points of interest and problems.
One project which was very interesting was the Manchester Mule, which seemed to be a similar project to our own, and the editor was keen to keep in contact with us.
Also I met a member of the National Union of Journalists, who said that if some of us were to join the union, they would be able to offer us training in areas like journalism, organisation, etc. They seemed to be very keen for us to join the Birmingham branch
lastly, the real media event had a large number of people there, between 100-150. They offered to promote Slaney Street on their website as part of a national, co-ordinated alternative media thing. If we were to send them an email, they've said they will put our details and stuff on their website. I think we should do this.
Because I will forget, could someone please help me do the following:
-contact Manchester Mule
-Contact NUJ Birmingham for info and training
-Email Real Media to promote Slaney Street.

@daniellindley should have some of them, the NUJ and Manchester Mule at least. As for the Real Media people, I'm not sure who.
