Register of Decisions
So we are steadily ramping up the amount of decisions we are making via Loomio. I'm just wondering - is Loomio's saving of our decisions sufficient, or do we need to have a clearer record of our decisions made and which decisions are 'in force'.
I'm working with a co-op now, that has been going for some time, which have done a poor job of recording;
(i) decisions made
(ii) their validity
(iii) which decisions have been overturned/rescinded etc.
They are now in a position where people operating the co-op, don't always know whether they are violating a motion passed by members (maybe years ago).
social.coop will likely be a more fluid organisation - but thought I'd raise the issue.
Makes perfect sense to me. Let's address this in the "eurocall" too before we jump into the global call on the 28th

Think you are right - bylaws, code of conduct and then a members wiki. Though it is possible that maybe we can figure out a way on Loomio to record things (as the less platforms we need to maintain, the better in my view).
Yes, sounds good. I think either in a separate wiki (easy to deploy in Sandstorm Oasis) or in a Loomio thread, we can keep a list of decisions, with links to the relevant Loomio pages.
I like this idea as well.
Have folks seen the Previous Decisions page Loomio provides?

It's not super helpful IMO, but good to know it exists. We can also make suggestions to Loomio as to how to make that page more meaningful.
+1 to a comprehensive wiki
Good point. I think we first need to agree on bylaws that define how decisions are made, and then maybe a members wiki could be useful, to record our policies, guidelines, past decisions, etc.
