Open proposals to outside participants
One big thing that could be done in loomio is to increase the proposal voting funcionality. So what i mean is that each proposal should have a 2 level votings.
Example: In a political group it would be great to open our proposals to outside voters and be able to see the results with only members, only outsiders, or members and outsiders votes.
Create two proposal voting levels

This seems a somehow desired feature but has some rough edges that need to be soften.
Be able to open proposal voting to the public and be able to see the results with only members, only outsiders, or members and outsiders votes.
Results
| Results | Option | Votes | % of votes cast | % of eligible voters | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Agree | 4 | 57 | 1 | ||
| Abstain | 3 | 43 | 1 | ||
| Disagree | 0 | 0 | 0 | ||
| Block | 0 | 0 | 0 | ||
| Not voted | 268 | 97 |
I totally agree because i would like to use that functionality.
Sorry! but in my opinion this voter diferentiation could be "dangerous". I explain it in a comment.
Change mind... BUT only if its super clear and decission-making oriented (not polling)
I think this could be a really interesting feature to play with - I wonder if it might be more appropriate as a plug-in further down the track rather than a core app feature?
I think advanced proposal settings are a good idea. Users could select a subgroup of users to have voting rights.
There is a place for advanced settings on proposals, we just need to be sure we're not doing at the expense of easy and obvious.

Well. Loomio could use cookies to prevent that. It's not bullet proof but controls most users. Another option is to use cookies and IP bloking at the same time.
@ricardoaraujo good idea. You can currently achieve something similar to this by running two proposals: one in a wider 'public consultation' group, and another in a more exclusive 'member participation group.
I'm going to move this discussion to Feature Ideas too.
I think its dangerous for loomio in a long-term view.
Its unclear which result is the good one, and make agreements and discussions much more dificult.
The non-registered result is just like a normal poll, (easy to do with or without loomio). You can link several decissions in the main context and explain the protocol of your organisation.
I like the "vote without register" feature (it has been proposed several times), with a share link or similar, but then its a public decission, with a clear result. For all decissions, you can be accepted OR NOT, but once you are in, everyone deserve the same rights.
It would be a feature that coul be turned on or off. It's not meant to be standard, but just to provide some exrta funcionality to those who want to use it. And the group who want's to use it is the one that makes the decision if the outsiders votes will be taken in acount or not.
Why to you think ousiders of "your group" should decide it's fate, just because you openned a proposal to the public just to see their opinion? It's not a matter of the same rights or not...
I understand your point. I mean loomio is a decision-making tool, not a polling tool. (it can be used in both ways, but the first one defines the project) its a very thin line between one and other because technically can be the same and depends on how each one decides to use it. I think conceptually your proposal is closer to a poll.
it can be discussed more extensive though XD
you somehow right in that point. been a decision making tool, that funcionality resembles more like a poll. Nevertheless it may help to make a decision...
Why not. That would be good to see what people decide and not only members. But how the result can be true, when outsiders don't have an account and can vote as many times they want.
