Next Meeting (Woo!)

B Ben Public Seen by 21

Hi all.

I'm in the process of pestering people for the next Slaney Street meeting.

Firstly, I think it would be good if anyone who has any ideas for articles could consider writing even a short one, or asking around for news/points of interest.

Secondly, I think the next meeting should be once people are back from aboard over the next few weeks. I've already messaged some of us, but if we could start to think of times and locations which are best and message them here or to me on facebook, that would be helpful.

So far, it's looking like we'll meet at 6pm in the city centre. Please let me know if there are days you can't make so we can get you all there.

Cheers,

Ben

I've got one coming on the council's use of bailiffs for collecting council tax. I've discovered that for all their terrorising people, they're not very effective. If anyone's had any experiences of them, I'd be interested to hear about it, anonymously if you like. If not, I can use the stuff I've got.

I will put out a request on facebook and direct them towards you. We could also ask on the bedroom tax page as well

Thanks for putting this up ben. We've finally got a bank account but are going to have a lot of hassle redirecting the funds into a new bank - for that reason I think it would be good if we just put things up on the blog until september and then had a go at doing an edition then.

There has been some talk amongst some of us in Plan C about perhaps doing an issue that isn't time dated and takes a more comprehensive angle at a particular issue. The issue we discussed it being on was migration - which I'm sure we could pull a number of different articles together for and would be something useful also on a national scale. We'd have to see what people thought about it but to me that does seem like a leading issue even if it wasn't a whole edition.
