Club Website?

It would probably be beneficial to have a website. I could make one pretty easily, but do we think it'll be worth maintaining?
Obviously we get by just fine using Facebook and Loomio, but since some people don't (properly) use Facebook, it might be a better way to get information out there:
- A link to sign up or go to the Loomio group
- Directions to places and events
- A place to order club-branded apparel?
- Photos from our trips

And possibly much more....
Looks like we can use the domain name sussexadventure.club, too!

I think this is a great idea!

I like the idea but I don’t know if people will keep up with it in the long run. After a while whoever is in charge might just not put any work into it. What do you think?

@adroit I think using something that requires maintenance and a server to host may not be the best idea, it may even be worthwhile to use a simple site builder, wordpress.com, or something like wix. If you or any officers with programming knowledge phase out of the school and the club, there's no long term plan for a serious website.

Of course I was already planning on using a CMS, not building anything from scratch. The problem is not with programming knowledge phasing out of the club, but of the mere knowledge of how to update the site - no matter how easy - phasing out of the club. Then the page will become stale.
Again, it should be low-maintenance this way, with nothing but an intro page and links - but there's still some, which is why I brought it up.
