Exchange in Culture Night
Exchange is looking to be involved with Culture Night on September the 19th, for the fifth time in a row. The idea is to run some kind of event in a yet to be determined venue with the outlook that Exchange will be active and talking to the community on culture night.
This may involve multiple groups and activities, along with the Exchange volunteers celebrating the night. The Exchange itself wants to update everybody on progress made since closure while having a fun, creative, participative and collective event night in the vein of culture nights run in the last four years.
All groups, organisations and initiatives - old friends and new - are welcome to attend and join in with some ideas of where to go and what to put on for this event.
Let us know what you think.

Nothing stopping us from performing and dancing around the building. Plenty of people do that in Temple Bar at 1 am anyway.

I know this was facetious and ironic but that is why I regard it as a very good idea.
More pragmatically,
1) Have we a firm offer of the space, and for how long?
T's and C's &c
2) Is there a Bookings Cabal tasked for this event yet, so that scheduling and such can begin?

Phone conversation with Joseph Zefran. He is fine with us starting at 6 or 7 and going on into the late evening with events as long as the following things are done:
(A) We have willing volunteers (I said seven) who can lock up the space at the end of the night and who will work with other Joe to set up the space for Saturday markets - we need to get to other Joe about this.
(B) we send on a schedule/rundown of the what and who of our activities, which they can then add to their web listings of events - I started something akin to this in Google docs -,
(C) we involve either his suggested artists (he is forwarding details of one) or our own to do something with the mural (guessing Jules knows what this means),
(D) keep our groups family oriented to allow for children to participate and watch, and finally
(E, this one is kind of implicit but not stated) to have volunteers who are cooperative members with DFC. At least just so we can be trusted to hold keys if their members leave early.
The cafe will likely be active, possibly the shop as well.

So I won't have time to work a schedule of with people tomorrow but I will be available on Saturday if anybody could help me compile our activities into a schedule, make a newsletter and send out another barrage of invites.

i think we can get back in touch with plenty of user groups to put on a good show
some of us will be chatting with the Dublin Food Coop on friday - might be an option for a venue
we'll need a PlanA and a PlanB for the exchange venue itself- what to do there if we have us of the building and what to do there if not
