Volunteers/crew for festival

Maybe we should talk about how to practically manage the festival. I imagine that we will need some volunteers, who can help us with things such as check-in, bar (if we want that), information for the people and so on.
I also feel that we should make t-shirts for the crew, so they are easily recognizable. Maybe they could say "authentic as fuck!" :)

I guess we could also iterate us forward, by making a list and describing the tasks, which we already know. Are you up for doing that, @petermunthekaas ?

Well.
- check-in
- bar
- cooking?
- cleaning
- information
In general I would expect that we need 2-3 people on duty at all times during the festival to man the functions we need + maybe some more for setup and tear down (depending on how much we plan to decorate/change the spaces.

I agree with @petermunthekaas that we probably will need 2-3 people the whole time - depending a bit on how many people how will sign up.
An important question is also how we see our own contribution!? I mean, we are a few people already plus more might join. So if we are all willing to give some hours as volunteers for the festival - that is already a lot of hours ;)
So an interesting question would also be to think about how much time would we our selves be willing to put in as volunteers? And how much more is needed?
And I am old fashion - like really borring old fashion - so I would personally not wear the "authentic as fuck" t-shirt, simply because that doesn't feel authentic as fuck for me ;)
I would prefer some other way to make it known that I am in the crew...

For me it would make sense that all of us, who are co-creating this take one shift each (or something like that), but I find it important that we also have (plenty of) time to participate in workshops we are not hosting ourselves.

I would consider having at least one "team leader" over the whole festival and paying that person something, or perhap two people who share the festival between them. That feels like a better place for me to use money rather than paying teachers. If there are new people coming on to take shifts all the time, each time there is a change, then all the information and learning from the previous shift is lost, there is limited knowledge transfer and potentially a lot of chaos.

And just to make it clear, I do not see myself in the role as a "team leader" or paid festival organiser / coordinator - that should be someone else. It probably wont be a particularly good hourly wage at all that person gets, so should be a person who loves doing it anyway.

you list is a good start for a plan, @petermunthekaas. i guess we could already start a Google sheet and make an a bit more detailed plan.
@paullloydrobson I have a bit more co-creative vision for the festival. Self-organisation + doocracy ftw. Am not afraid of chaos and knowledge transfer. The tasks won't be super complicated, in my eyes...

It would be more clear to me which and how many volunteers are needed when the list of tasks would be clear.
