Giveths Curation DAO (Odyssey Plan)

JF Josh Fairhead Public Seen by 207

Vision: Giveth.io - Rewriting the story of human collaboration. Funding common causes and utilities through bonding curves, curating them via crowdsourcing (TCR's) and filling in the blanks with machine learning and simulation.

Strange attractors: Odyssey Hackathon - Scaling Ecosystems, Nature2.ooo and Inclusive Banking. We will participate and integrate.

Before that however, there are the following events:
* ETHDenver - Friday, February 15, 2019 - Monday, February 18, 2019
* ETHAustin - Friday, February 22, 2019 - Monday, February 25, 2019
* Blockchain Week Paris - Monday, March 4, 2019 - Monday, March 11, 2019
* Ethereum Magicians Paris - Monday, March 4, 2019 - Tuesday, March 5, 2019
* Council of Paris 2019 - Monday, March 4, 2019 - Monday, March 4, 2019
* EthCC Paris - Tuesday, March 5, 2019 - Friday, March 8, 2019
* Odyssey - Friday, April 12, 2019 - Sunday, April 15, 2019

Why? We're building the commons. They're clearing obsticles and finding ways to enable us. This loop is made to be closed but the broader a network we have the better chance we have in achieving the common integration of everything!

~Roadmapish steps~
• Group alignment
• Organise a dial in reinforcements team

Communication:
* Riot community, social coding as a larger group.

Other things?? Yes, but uncertain and evolving!
* Post in the Odyssey community

I would even suggest to split all winnings among all participants and subtract the cost for the boat, would also make the calculation easier as we would not need to pay out the 100€ to everybody.

Beautifully agile proposal, Griff, hopefully we'll spare the tears :p. I'm down but then again I'm (now officially) Jedi and thus can't win anything. I'm happy to give my time regardless of the vote.

We would like to share the winnings as a group, but believe that there should also be a per-team incentive to make sure everyone wins their own track. eg: Every team could keep half of their own winnings while the other half goes into a common pot. After taking out common costs (except flights), anything left is split equally across teams. What do you think?

Yeah in general into this! But I would keep out the flights and let people come to a separate mutual agreement on those - because that is a large expense which I wouldn't feel good about getting someone else to subsidise - I'm flying to Europe anyway. It would be weird for other people already there to pay half my ticket.
Otherwise yeah I am into socialising winnings especially for common costs and then some.
I.e. Keep half, share half, pay the common costs (sans flights) and split what's left!
