This thread is to support the current Poll set up (refer to poll for more details) and for any clarifying discussions/questions. Sorry, I did not add it to a thread so there was no area to ask the questions unless you made a comment in your vote.

@Anela Bradd thanks- good point. I know DSC have some info on BIS/Psych but I have not drilled in to see what benefits it may have on BIS/Psych's. In terms of other subscriptions, would you have any suggestions the group/members could consider?

I would need some more info about what these subscriptions are and if they would be beneficial for Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists. Thanks!

Does this means we are able to access to memberships with variety of NDIS training and resources including DSC ?

Hi,

Thanks for everyone that voted in this poll. Your feedback was very welcome. I will refine the proposal based on the feedback and start a new poll. Please keep your eye out a new proposal.

Lisa has done some fantastic work recently identifying and negotiating memberships with peak organisations (i.e. DSC). We have an opportunity to subscribe to some peak bodies, specifically NDS at this point where all our NDIS members will have their own subscription.

There are two parts to this proposal:

I propose that each NDIS member contribute $100 annually for NDIS Subscriptions (coming from your individual class). As subscription opportunities arise, we can then vote on what ones to join. We can set up a new budget item within our accounts team for this item. Based on approx. 50 NDIS members, this would equate to approximately $5000 annually.
We subscribe to DSC for a total cost of $2420 for up to 50 members. Those that have already paid their subscription would be reimbursed for their subscription from the above budget.

Please ask any clarifying questions.
