What's in a name... a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet right? Actually thats bull shit. If a "rose" was called "dead rotting rat", it would not smell as sweet. Just like how meals taste better when they have an artful presentation, concepts are better communicated when they are artfully and intentionally worded.

Simplicity is key when users are involved! 3 syllables compared to one makes "dack" the winner for me. Few people say "Dee Eh Oh" for DAO to my knowledge, and if that's what we're modeling the term after, I would say the convention to say it as one word follows through.

in lazy moments i might say dack but all front facing interactions get D-A-C because of clarity/approachability. Bowen said it well.

I agree on pronouncing "DAO" because it had connotations beyond pronouncing an abbreviation. DAC on the other hand doesn't even sound nice. Everyone also knows what a DAO is at this point so you can shorten it that way, but DAC is not as recognized at this point. I think it would provoke more conversation and explanation if we say D-A-C...
