Emails @openmandriva
Hi all
Do we agree, that email addresses @openmandriva.org could be given to any member, who requests this?
(limited volume, subject to availability, by getting the address member agrees to usage of email address strictly for good of OMA, in accordancy with general member and website rules).

It should only be given to members and only if it is needed.
No it should not be given to any member that asks for it.

We need this at least for members who are actually doing something -- if we send messages on behalf of the project with an address @somethingelse.com, recipients will assume that either the message is unofficial, or somethingelse.com is runing OMA.

The minimum criteria for giving an OM mailbox to a member should be -- membership age at OMA plus membership committee's approval based on the kind of contributions that member has shown.

My position is same as Anurag's. Individuals should be assessed on the basis of contribution to OMA and trustworthiness. Any E-mail bearing @openmandriva.org will be considered official by the recipients. We are not an E-mail address provider.

Not just for any member who requests, I believe. Because the email would be associated with OpenMandriva, there needs to be a strict set of rules while using such an address, as it would be considered official mail.

Like others I feel that OpenMandriva addresses should only be given to those have a real need to represent OM in an official manner. The council obviously and probably those who prepare and send "press releases".

if some requirements are met. This means that they should be restricted to team members and organism members. Because when we give an e-mail that person is "representing" OMA, and that should be in some way restricted.

Disagree - according to the topic - on "given to any member, who requests this".
Agree on [email protected] given to Council and member while acting their role on behalf of OMA in the outside world.
