Registring hours in the VAS

Using the VAS requires rigor. Thus, I created a simplified process (http://nrp.sensorica.co/accounting/process/845/) so that we don't have any excuse about the complicated interface. :)

In order to gather hours with regularity and congruence, I propose that all hours that are not registered in the VAS ten days after the day the work was done are lost, ie these hours will not be considered for financial repartition or other purposes. Exceptions : hours done before August 11th (date BG joined Sensorica) are not put in the VAS.

This rule would enter into force on October 15th 2015.

@johndanger - you wrote "I would love to help on the UX side". Great!

Want to help with the code, too?

@fabioballi - it would be technically possible to have the system enforce something like that, and send notices when the deadline was imminent. @johndanger can help figure out how to do it.

I prefer a week delay, than 5 days.

Bob> unfortunatly I'm not realy into code, but I can surely work on visual architecture, and propose Ideas.

Speaking for myself, I'm really not strict in puting my hours into the VAS because everytime I go in it, I need 10min to figure where it goes.
So if I get it right, Fabio created a new page for Breathing Games where each domains of qualifications are no longer separated ? (tech / visuals / software etc).

About hours of work did before joinning Sensorica, Tibi and Jim encouraged me to put an aproximation of the time I did in the project since 2011, which I did (and I'm sure, a very lower of what i really did). So all of this gonna be removed from the vas ?

@johndanger - no prob. We're seeing several people who are interested in actually designing UI improvements. Could be another interesting collaborative project. Requires a lot of thinking, though.

The My Work page was intended for showing all the stuff you are or could be working on. It's one of the pages that several people, including @fabioballi , are interested in redesigning. You could help, and then you would not need 10min to figure out where it goes.

So all of this gonna be removed from the vas ?

Why would it be removed? I don't understand.

@bobhaugen the time I did work on the project before joining Sensorica

@johndanger - you wrote above-thread:

Is your question about whether a deadline on logging would affect that? If so, it's a question for Tibi and Jim and your teammates on the Breathing Games project. There's nothing in the vas code that would remove it automatically.

@bobhaugen I know that, I'm questionning about the last part of the topic whitch is :
" Exceptions : hours done before August 11th (date BG joined Sensorica) are not put in the VAS."

Its not a deadline...Its when the new rules get enforced: any work must be logged within five days or the contribution can no longer be logged. This is to avoid vague logging of time and lump logging without any details to the work done. The past work you did is fine, we all agreed to that :-)

@johndanger - oops, I missed that. Will shut up now...

The idea with the simplified process is to make it easy for everyone to register their hours in the VAS. But you can also use more precise processes (https://sites.google.com/site/sensoricahome/home/what-we-do/projects/breathing-games/breathing-games-vas).

@johndanger About August 11th, it is to say that the rule does not apply for the hours done before we joined Sensorica. I will create a new thread to discuss that.
