Not a clever question. Think Wind Farm - environmentally damaging in terms of visual, loss of land [eg peat bogs] increased traffic, use of concrete etc etc...and all for the ultimate good of producing renewable energy [you need to break eggs to create an omelette]
Ann Robertson Thu 18 Jul 2019 8:06AM
Jings. It's climate change stupid. Why are we still even arguing about this?
Bill Kerr-Smith Thu 18 Jul 2019 11:52AM
If the Scottish Government is serious about Scotland leading the world on environmental issues, it ought to ensure the Enterprise Fund ONLY funds projects with a positive environmental impact.

ScotGov have their hands tied - drug legislation is not devolved. Money is going where it is required, from the non-bottomless money pit. To argue otherwise is political perversion

Nobody is and it's probably too late to avoid serious adn long term damage to our infrastructure.
Eleanor Ferguson Thu 1 Aug 2019 12:14PM
UK government has tied the hands of the Scottish Government, and its welfare policies are causing the conditions for drug use to increase. Many of the deaths are also related to the mass unemployment caused by Margaret Thatcher.

hemp and cannabis should be decriminalised. resources can then be used for other illegal drugs instead and those needing cannabis for health reasons can use without fear of being criminalised for trying to keep their health stable.

We must fight to keep this open and available to the public, even if that means a small administrative charge.

Legislation should have been delegated to ScotGov long ago. If no-one lese cares about 'our people' outwith the Scottish Border, then we should just get on with it ourselves. I'd love to see a prosecution in Court... "They defied the law...they tried to save lives"
