Rule 8

I wonder if hackspace rule 8 satisfies our needs with a growing member base. Do we need to revise the wording and review the process?
"Larger/more items may be allowed, but please note that space is limited. You must email the mailing list first, and items should be clearly labelled as yours, and with the date they will be removed by. (We have Do Not Hack stickers in the office area on the ground floor.)"

Change 'large/more items may be allowed' to 'large/more items are not allowed. Unless...' Closed Tue 25 Mar 2014 9:07PM
'maybe allowed' is too vague and the conditions aren't clear. Fundamentally we do not allow large/more items unless certain criteria are met so I feel this should be reworded to reflect this.

We need to be clearer about our negative view on large/more items. We can discuss exactly what conditions make a member and their item exempt next.

Mail the list leaves things too open. This looks like you perform a magic dance and do what you want. The mailing list should be asked permission for anything left more than one night. For one night merely informing the list + completed DNH is OK.

Sarah, it is Loomio, not loomeo!

Please note this is only for testing loomeo! Whatever we discuss here (although constructive I'm sure) won't be representative of the hackspace memebers as a whole so can't be taken too seriously.
