Working Retreats: where, when, how?

LF Luke Flegg Public Seen by 241

There's a sub-group for all the minor decisions about logistics & stuff, but this thread is the big one for EVERYone in CTF who might be interested in attending (not necessarily organising) Working Retreats

Next (confirmed) Working Retreat is at the ASHA Centre 9-12 April (2 lead facilitators can arrive the evening before. One of the facilitators will be me : )

I REALLY want there to be at least 2 get togethers before then. I don't care how 'big a deal' they are. Maybe we can use a simple (logistically) place like Charlie Shread's house in Devon?

Basically I want to do 1 per month.
Can't make it? No worries! Loads of people won't be able to make whatever is the first date you can make.

I propose a few days somewhere in
7-13 December

and
a few days somewhere in
4-10 January

and
a few days somewhere in
1-7 February

I'm going to 'float' this now & propose it 'as is' unless anyone else contributes something very soon?

("a few days" = I'll find 2-4 days using a www.doodle.com poll, within this date range, which work for us all, as much as possible.)

So, this is the same process I blocked when Luke planned the first ASHA event. As a result of that block we now have a 5 person committee. I thought proposals would generate out of our committee discussion. I don't understand this process, maybe it's my own assumptions about collaborative decision making. But this time I won't bother to block it.... Maybe it is the only process that works?

Gah. You're totally right. I'm really sorry!
I'll invite committee together via FB now.

(would be nice to have a way to see who is in committees. Wrike does it well but just ain't realistic)
